Susan Baer, President
Susan
Baer, President of Advanced Computer Learning & Consulting, Inc.
has trained and supported over 4,000 Washington, DC area computer owners since
1994 in an atmosphere of warmth and professionalism. Susan has over ten
years of experience training employees of American Express® Travel
Related Services, small consulting firms, large legal firms, and non-profit
associations. From 1994 until 2000 Susan has also been a Trainer/Project Manager
for Productivity Point International, Inc. of Washington, DC.
Susan
appears on Fox 5 TV News, when they call on her to advise
the public on critical technology topics of the day, such as the Year 2000
date changeover, and Internet hacking. She also makes Cable TV appearances
in the Washington, DC area. The Washington Post and EXBTV.com consult
Susan for expert advice and statements. And she hosted Washington's
Tech Tips on WGMS FM Monday afternoons.
Susan
founded ACLC in 1994 so she could offer one-on-one and group training and
support to home users, small businesses, large firms and corporations. Her goal is to customize training and support to meet your needs, and to
offer strategic consulting to assess your hardware needs, upgrade your
computer systems, and recommend hardware and software purchases.
Prior
to launching her own computer training and consulting business, Susan designed
and managed training programs for American Express® partner companies
in the US and abroad. She began teaching computers to staff
members at the French Embassy's Press Department in 1987.
Susan
spent two years studying in France and Switzerland after completing her
B.A. in Business Management at Goucher College. She studied Fortran,
Cobol, and Basic computer programming languages.
Susan
is a member and speaker for the following organizations: GE Foundation
Entrepreneurs, Women's Business Center, Small Business Administration,
and the National Association for Female Executives.

Bob Conly, Training Consultant
Bob Conly has been helping
people become more productive with computers since 1985. ACLC is
so pleased to have Bob on the training staff. He has a way with people
in the corporate setting as well as a sensitivity for the individual learner. Not only does Bob bring with him experience and
wisdom, but also a great sense of humor, and keen listening skills. He specializes in applications training, including word processing, spreadsheets
and databases, and project management software. Bob has experience
working on training projects for the World Bank, KPMG, and Ernst &
Young.
Bob has helped computer users
create applications to solve problems in budget work, client tracking and
employee servicing. Before he became involved with computers, Bob
worked for the Department of Energy and the State of California.
Bob graduated from Harvard, and has served as treasurer of several community organizations.

John Baer, Training Consultant
John Baer has worked with computers since 1955.
ACLC is pleased to have John on the training staff. He teaches computer skills and Hands-on-Science in our
local public and private schools. Our professional clients benefit from his training in a one-on-one setting.
John has many years of experience working with people in the corporate environment, as well as lecturing to
diverse groups from college students to large international conferences. His listening skills and sense of
humor have been honed in working with people from various cultures and age groups.
He specializes in sensible utilization of computers as tools, including word processing, spreadsheets,
databases, and project management software. John has helped clients create and maintain logistics planning
(PERT) charts, and enterprise and charitable foundation databases. Before he became involved with computer
training, John worked for the Department of Defense and ran his own International Management Engineering
& Consulting firm, working with clients around the globe. John has Bachelor and Master's degrees in Engineering
and Business Administration, and has served as chairman of several community and engineering organizations. He
is called upon regularly to serve as judge at Future Business Leaders' Public Speaking contests and at science
fairs, as well as at national Future Cities competitions.
